In plain English, here is what we collect when you use ParisBloom.com, why we collect this data, and how we use it.
When you register or purchase from us, we will collect and store indefinitely your name, email, billing and shipping address, phone number (if provided), and IP address in order to better serve you as a customer, to process orders on our website, to provide a better shopping experience, and to maintain the records we need as a company. This includes both online and physical records of this information.
For more specifics, please see the different categories below. If your questions are not answered on this page, please feel free to contact us with any questions.
In general, we track your Paris Bloom website usage and interactions in order to make changes to optimize our shopping experience, and to better target our advertising efforts to reach the audience most interested in dressing modestly and looking fashionable. To do so, we use three pieces of well-known scripts. Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, and Pinterest Tag. You can read more specifics about each below. We do not have specific opt-outs for each on our website, so in general we recommend you visit the links below to set your preferences on each site in order to limit or disallow data gathering. This has the added benefit of persisting across all websites, not just ParisBloom.com!
This has become a rather contentious issue as of 2018, with many privacy scandals and fears regarding what your data is being used for. Everyone at Paris Bloom also uses these services and shares the same concerns, so you can be sure we are making every effort to be transparent and good stewards of our visitors!
- You can completely disable cookies in your browser. Please note that this will significantly reduce your user experience on this website.
- You can opt out of analytics entirely by using a plugin provided by Google. Visit this link for more information: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout
- You can opt out just on Paris Bloom by clicking here: Google Analytics Options.
Tracking our customer audience via Facebook is a powerful tool that allows us to advertise and bring the joy of Paris Bloom to our target demographic. We do this through the use of a Facebook script that loads third party cookies on your computer. We do not receive any of your personal information, but if you have provided that information to Facebook and have your settings on Facebook to allow this sort of tracking, Facebook may target you in our advertising. The Facebook pixel will send a hash of your profile ID and information about your pageviews and interactions with our website. Read more on what information Facebook collects.
We do not currently have a specific opt-out functionality on Paris Bloom’s website, so to opt-out, we ask that you visit your Facebook ad preferences.
The Pinterest script we load also allows us to target advertising to Pinterest users who are most likely to enjoy our products. It tracks website usage and allows us to optimize the website to better serve customers. Similar to the Facebook Pixel, it simply gives us trend data and the opportunity to target our advertising to the correct demographic. Learn more and set your Pinterest ad preferences.
When ordering or registering on our site, you will be asked to enter your name, email address, billing and shipping address, and phone number. This data allows us to process your order and maintain our digital and physical records.
Registering is not required for ordering from our website, however, we will require much of the same information if you checkout as a guest. Registering will make it simpler to see your past orders and make future orders.
We give you the option to log in using your Google or Facebook account. This is not required, and is simply for your convenience. We will receive the following information from this login: email address, name, social provider identifier, and access token. Please view the respective Privacy Policies for Google and Facebook for more information on how they use your information.
